How you can help – well, let me see, where does one begin.
Fundraising, seeking fosters, and chasing events with a rescue is a never ending process, so we’d like to share with you some of the numbers we work with, and why it’s ceaseless.

1 cup of dog food = 1 lb of dog food
30 lb bag = 30 cups
@ even 5 cups a day that bag is gone in 6 days
Feeding amount varies by weight of the animal.
Puppy food is always needed.

Most animals come to rescues in need of high value, optimal dog food. Some present in poor body condition, some present as pregnant, some are young and growing and in poor shape, but in most every case animals require optimal feeds, treats, and edible matter.
Most commonly animals have had less than appropriate training, housing, socialization, vetting, or knowledge in “how to dog.” This results in destructive abilities few are prepared for. This in turn results in requiring collars which fit properly and can not be slipped off, or chewed through, crates that will stand up to the wrath of the Incredible Hulk, and an absolutely endless supply of squeaky toys, balls, and beds.
We’d like it if vets weren’t needed (nothing quite so “fun” as those midnight vet runs though is there), and yet we’d rather be able to help as many as we can, and where we can, and to do that it quite often begins with a large bill which is “just part of the process.” Even without, shots are assumed to have not been done, spays and neuters also require extra funding.
We strive to ensure every animal we re-home is altered, up to date, mostly civilized, to do that requires the time to accomplish. To have the time to accomplish it fosters are required, food must be supplied, training must be done, vet appointments must be made, transportation must be arranged.

In one day between two rescues just outside of town 15 animals were surrendered. One day.
There is a great need to spay and neuter and we hope to assist the community in multiple ways to attain that, from working to bring animals to Thunder Bay, or working to bring spay and neuter clinics to the area, funds must be collected, fuel must be paid, and help must be had.

We are a small community, and yet the need within the area to assist owners, and pets both; is great.
It would be great to have your help. If you could assist that effort, we’d be ever so appreciative.

If you’d like to help us tame some unruly beasts we could always use fosters.
