MISTY: ADOPTED 27-May-2023
Spring is here, what are your summer plans? If you are looking for an outdoors buddy in your fun and frolic boy do I have a treat for you. Especially if you are a Husky or Malamute person, meet the most well behaved Husky - ever.
Misty - She just turned 2 on March 1st. She is spayed. She doesn't howl and sing but she can get talkative. She has no issues with a collar, or a lead and does not seek to remove them. She loves to jump and climb, is good to pull and haul, is quite likely a happy swimmer. She likes to take her favourite stuffy of the day out to pee with her, and make sure they get to pee too. She is a card, and a comedian and when not "playing it cool" is happy to make you laugh. She is not aggressive, she does however like to play deaf. If she gets picky and you wet her kibble that is "trick enough" but she rapidly admits she is a big fan of chicken.
Misty is a gentle dumb giant - massive poof ball of floofy fun. She wears the scars that show she has known the ugly side of humans and she knows she is fully worthy of a better place. The cruelty she has endured, has made her shy, hesitant and slow to trust; but once she does you'll not find a better buddy. Misty is great in the house and shows no destructive habits, if she's singing she's asking to go outside. She prefers her own bed to the sharing of yours. She does greet visitors with a hearty husky greeting song. Outside Misty does dig a den, and she needs a line as fences are not a barrier to her, but a challenge. Ideally she likes a line on a clothesline so she can move about. In her time here she has not been off a line or lead, unless in the house, she has been just fine with that.
Miss Floof loves to run and jump but she also loves to lounge and bask. She is a fabulous combination animal well suited to an adult oriented home. She has learned small dogs are not the enemy I would not however trust her for a minute with a cat. Also as a big dumb floof ball she tends to not respect your space and at only just 2 years old as a overgrown pup herself - homes with children less than 4 ft tall are less than ideal to her need to be oblivious to her surroundings. She's not oblivious, she's carefree - she hopes you will be too. Misty really wants to pull and show off her strength this way and as such would be well suited to bush work and haulage for her human buddy ... Also she's happy to clean up the fish heads, and tails for you - just - toss those over this way will you
Misty is a beautiful, well mannered, amazingly well behaved 80 pounder of life and laughter who is ready and willing to explore her FUREVER options. Is that you?
Misty is available for adoption to her FUREVER HOME as of May 3rd - if you are interested in meeting her, please fill out an adoption request here: https://ruffcue.ca/apply/application-form
While we appreciate every application we receive and your time in filling them out; Misty will not be placed in a home with cats, or small children, and is most suited to being the queen of your home. This is to say that one other large dog might be tolerated by her but multiple animals will not - Your pet will have to meet her. Compatibility checks will be required. Her adoption fee is $400.
